Wonder Woman duo Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins reunite for Cleopatra movie October 12, 2020 at 04:00PM

It's a mega-reunion for Wonder Woman duo Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins. As the actor-director duo awaits the release of Wonder Woman 1984, they have signed their next project which will be Cleopatra movie.

Deadline revealed that the period biographical drama was Gal Gadot's idea generated by Pilot Wave. It underwent a number of pitches before it landed with Paramount Pictures. Patty Jenkins will helm whereas Laeta Kalogridis will pen the script.

According to Deadline, "Cleopatra is the daughter of Ptolemy, ancestor of the leader of Alexander the Great’s army. When Rome’s ruler Julius Caesar’s mentor-turned-rival Pompey fled to Egypt after a brutal war for control of the empire, Egypt became a fixation of Roman rulers. Two siblings battled for the throne of Egypt. After winning that internal struggle by appealing personally to Caesar, Cleopatra had a complicated relationship with Rome, becoming the lover of Caesar and later Marc Antony. The latter alliance would become the undoing of both Antony and Cleopatra."

Meanwhile, Wonder Woman 1984 is set for December release. Gal Gadot will next star in the Kenneth Branagh directed Death on the Nile.

सुशांत की बहनों की याचिका पर बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट में सुनवाई आज, रिया चक्रवर्ती ने दर्ज करवाई है एफआईआर October 12, 2020 at 06:22PM

एक्ट्रेस रिया चक्रवर्ती द्वारा बांद्रा पुलिस स्टेशन दर्ज करवाई गई एफआईआर को रद्द करने की मांग को लेकर सुशांत की बहन प्रियंका और मीतू सिंह की याचिका पर बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट आज दोपहर सुनवाई करेगा। जस्टिस एस एस शिंदे और जस्टिस एम एस कार्णिक की बेंच ने 6 अक्टूबर को इस मामले से संबंधित याचिका पर विचार किया और फिर इसे आज सुनवाई के लिए लिस्ट किया था।

रिया ने अपनी गिरफ्तारी से पहले राम मनोहर लोहिया अस्पताल के डॉक्टर तरुण कुमार और सुशांत की दोनों बहनों के खिलाफ केस दर्ज कराया था। इन तीनों पर फर्जी मेडिकल प्रिस्क्रिप्शन बनाकर सुशांत के लिए दवा देने का आरोप लगाया गया है।

रिया ने अपनी कंप्लेंट में यह कहा था

रिया ने अपनी शिकायत में कहा कि डॉक्टर कुमार ने प्रियंका के कहने पर बिना सुशांत की जांच किए उन्हें डिप्रेशन की दवाएं दी थीं जो कई तरह से कानून का उल्लंघन है। रिया ने शिकायत में कहा कि डिस्क्रिप्शन दिल्ली की ओपीडी का है जबकि सुशांत उस दिन मुंबई में मौजूद थे। रिया ने कहा था कि गैरकानूनी रूप से दावा देने का यह मामला एनडीपीएस एक्ट में आता है।

रिया ने बहन पर लगाया यह आरोप

रिया ने अपनी एफआईआर में कहा था कि 8 जून की सुबह जब वो सुशांत के घर में थी, तब सुशांत लगातार किसी से फोन पर चैट कर रहा था। जब उसने इस बारे में सुशांत से पूछा, तो सुशांत ने अपनी बहन के साथ फोन पर हो रही ये चैट उसे दिखाई, जिसमें उनकी बहन प्रियंका दिल्ली में बैठे-बैठे अपनी तरफ से सुशांत को साइकोट्रोपिक ड्रग लेने की सलाह दे रही थीं। वो भी किसी ऐसे डॉक्टर के हवाले से, जिसने सुशांत को मरीज के तौर पर कभी देखा ही नहीं था।

सुशांत की बहनों की बचाव में दलील

अधिवक्ता माधव थोराट के जरिए दाखिल की गई याचिका में प्रियंका सिंह ने दावा किया है कि शिकायत पूरी तरह से डॉक्टर की लिखी दवाओं पर आधारित है, इसलिए उन्होंने कोई जुर्म नहीं किया है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्णय के मद्देनजर रिया के मुकदमे को खारिज किया जाना चाहिए।

सीबीआई द्वारा एक्शन लेने से रोक की लगाई गुहार

अधिवक्ता माधव थोराट ने कहा कि सुशांत की बहन ने सीबीआई को उनके खिलाफ कोई ठोस कदम उठाने से प्रतिबंधित करने के लिए अंतरिम आदेश देने की भी मांग की है। मुंबई पुलिस ने इस केस को दर्ज कर इससे जुड़ी जांच सीबीआई के हाथ में सौंप दी है।

It seems like The Proposal duo Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock may be reuniting on the big screen again. According to the latest reports, Paramount Pictures is working on its next project Lost City Of D with up and coming directors, Adam & Aaron Nee.

According to Deadline, for the romantic action-comedy, "the studio hopes will re-team Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. Neither has a deal and the latter’s availability is questionable because the studio is looking to move quickly."

Seth Gordon pitched the idea and Oren Uziel penned the first draft. The latest draft has been written by Dana Fox. Deadline further reveals, "Gordon is attached to produce via his Exhibit A Films. Bullock is producing through her Fortis Films along with Liza Chasin via her company 3dot Productions."

If everything falls into place, this will be the first time Bullock and Reynolds will work together since the 2009 movie, The Proposal.

सिने पोलिस सिने चेन के डिप्टी सीईओ देवांग संपत ने कहा, "नामी अभिनेताओं की फि‍ल्मों के रेट्रो स्पेक्ट भी चलेंगे। मिसाल के तौर पर ऋषि कपूर और इरफान साहब की फि‍ल्मों का बुके होगा। इसके अलावा तमिल, बंगाली, तेलुगू, मलयाली भाषी फि‍ल्मों पर जोर होगा। उन भाषाओं की फिल्‍में न सिर्फ संबंधित राज्‍यों, बल्कि हिंदी भाषी प्रदेशों में भी रिलीज होंगी।"

देवांग संपत की बातों पर डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर और एग्जीबिटर बिरादरी ने मुहर लगाई। उन्‍होंने कहा, "पंजाबी फि‍ल्मों में नई रिलीज की भी स्लेट तैयार हैं। पंजाबी में ‘चल मेरा पुत्त 2’, ‘यार अनमुले रिटर्न्‍स’, ‘गलवकडी,’ पोस्टी’, ‘ बू मैंदार गई, ‘शरीक 2’, किस्‍मत 2’, ‘शोहरें दा पिंड’ जैसी फिल्‍में हैं।"

बांग्ला भाषा की नई फिल्में अक्टूबर से ही मिलेंगी

बंगाली भाषा में तो अक्टूबर महीने से ही नए कंटेंट उपलब्ध हो रहे हैं। मल्टीप्लेक्सेज में ‘ड्रैकुला सर’, ‘गुलदस्ता’, ‘रोहोस्‍य‘, ‘ऑगोंतुक’, ‘प्रेम टेम’, ‘धर्मो युद्ध’ जैसी फिल्‍में रिलीज होंगी। साथ ही री-रिलीज वाली कैटेगरी में ‘ब्रह्मा जाने गोपोन कोमोटी’ , ‘द पार्सल’ हैं।

दिल्ली सर्किट में पहले 'तान्हाजी' और 'वॉर'

दि‍ल्ली सर्किट के एग्जीबिटर और डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर संजय घई ने कहा, "नवंबर महीने से सिनेमाघरों के सामने नई फि‍ल्मों की क्राइसिस नहीं है। 16 अक्टूबर वाले वीकेंड में हम लोग ‘वॉर’ और ‘तान्‍हाजी’ जैसी फि‍ल्मों को री-रिलीज करेंगे।

साथ में ‘छिछोरे’ व इस साल 28 फरवरी से आठ महीने पहले तक रिलीज हुईं फि‍ल्मों को एक ही दिन में अलग-अलग शो में रिलीज करते रहेंगे। ताकि दर्शकों को वैरायटी ऑप्शन मिलते रहें। इन फि‍ल्मों को सिनेमाघर एक बार अपने यहां रिलीज कर चुके हैं। ऐसे में, फिर से रिलीज करने में उन्‍हें वर्चुअल प्रिंट फीस का भी वहन नहीं करना होगा।"

दिवाली पर तीन फिल्में रिलीज होने की उम्मीद

घई आगे बताते हैं, "दीवाली पर दो-तीन फिल्‍में पहले भी रिलीज होती रही हैं। इस बार भी वैसा पैटर्न दिख रहा है। ‘सूरज पर मंगल भारी’ आधिकारिक तौर पर रिलीज हो रही है ही। उसके अलावा ‘बंटी और बबली 2’ व भंसाली की फिल्‍म की रिलीज होने की प्रबल संभावना है।"

सिंगल स्क्रीन्स पर रिलीज होगी लक्ष्मी बॉम्ब

आइनॉक्स समेत बाकी मल्टीप्लेक्सेज के साथ ‘लक्ष्मी बॉम्‍ब’, ‘कुली नं. 1’ आदि को ओटीटी के साथ या आगे पीछे वाले वीकेंड पर रिलीज करने को लेकर बैठकों का दौर जारी है।

मल्टीप्लेक्स वाले ओटीटी रिलीज के चलते इन्हें अपने यहां रिलीज न करने पर अड़े हुए हैं। लेकिन मगर सिंगल स्‍क्रीन वालों ने कहा है कि वे अपने यहां इन्हें रिलीज करने को राजी हैं। खासकर, ‘लक्ष्मी बॉम्‍ब’ जो 9 नवंबर को हॉटस्‍टार पर रिलीज हो रही है, उसे 13 या 14 नवंबर को ठीक बड़े पर्दे पर रिलीज करने की तैयारी है।

We also revealed that the comedy film directed by David Dhawan, will hit the small screen this Diwali, proving to be an entertaining ride for the families across the country. However, in a recent development, Coolie No. 1 will now arrive on Christmas moving back by 45 days from its initial plan to arrive on Diwali.

“Coolie No. 1 was ideal for Diwali considering the comedy genre, however, the current negative sentiment around Sara Ali Khan owing to the entire drug controversy made the makers rethink and restrategise on their release plan. They didn’t want their film to face negative PR owing to Sara Ali Khan, and decided on rather waiting for the matter to settle down than going ahead with a Diwali release,” a source informed Bollywood Hungama, adding further that everyone is of the opinion that once truth comes out, the negative press around Bollywood too will take a back seat.

The film is currently in the post production phase with work going on the start credits, background score and colour correction. “It’s a colourful David Dhawan entertainer, and the reports from the post production team suggest that the film would live onto the expectation of providing wholesome entertainment. A track of Varun Dhawan mimicking Mithun Chakraborty is said to be the highlight of the film,” the source further informed us, and also stating that given the flavour, it’s best to release when the audience sentiment is right thereby serving the purpose of getting the film made.

The movie also features Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav in key roles. It is produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani.

Rhea Chakraborty did not meet Sushant Singh Rajput on June 13, false claims will now lead to legal action October 11, 2020 at 06:30PM

Actor Rhea Chakraborty was released on bail on October 8 after Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested her in the drugs angle related to late Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Her bail application was accepted by the Bombay High Court whereas her brother Showik Chakraborty is still in custody. Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty plans to take legal action against those who made false claims against her.

A neighbour had allegedly claimed of seeing Rhea Chakraborty meeting Sushant Singh Rajput on June 13. When the Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) questioned her, she allegedly couldn't substantiate her claim. The agency has reportedly warned the neighbour against spreading false claims.

"We will be forwarding a list of people to CBI who made fake and false claims on TV and Electronic Media including carrying mobile recording and fake stories on SSR case with particular reference to Rhea Chakraborty to go after them and record their statements. We will request CBI to take legal proceedings against them for misleading the investigations," Satish Maneshinde said in a statement to NDTV.

According to India Today, Dr. Sudhir Gupta of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), who was re-evaluating the forensic report with a team of doctors, said, "Sushant death is a case of suicide. Murder completely ruled out."

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 at his Bandra apartment in Mumbai. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

It's no secret now that the much awaited cop drama, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty, has been postponed from its originally announced date of Diwali 2020. Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibasish Sarkar had exclusively confirmed this development to Bollywood Hungama a fortnight back. Ever since then, there have been speculations about new release date of Sooryavanshi, with some within the trade speaking of how the cop universe film will arrive on Christmas, taking the slot currently booked by Kabir Khan for his Kapil Dev Biopic, 83 starring Ranveer Singh with Deepika Padukone in a cameo. However, Reliance in an interview today confirmed that 83 release date will stick to Christmas and would not shift to make space for Sooryavanshi.

On some investigation within the industry, Bollywood Hungama has found out that the Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh starrer cop drama will now release during the Republic Day weekend. “No one can promise a release date at this point of time, but Reliance, Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar are tentatively eyeing the Republic Day weekend now for Sooryavanshi. While there were initial chatters of Sooryavanshi on Christmas and 83 on Republic Day, it was eventually decided that if a theatrical release is possible in December, it’s best to not move the release date of 83 once again,” a source told Bollywood Hungama exclusively.

The decision was taken after considering multiple factors like the budget of both films, the genre and more importantly, the opinion of the stakeholders of both films. “The idea is to take a decision that is in the best interest of both the films, and the current target is to release both of them before March next year. Though the window to release Sooryavanshi is between January and March but if 83 releases and fairs as well as expected on Christmas, 26 January is confirmed preposition for Sooryavanshi. With cinema halls reopening, the dates are more locked for both the films now, until and unless we have some bad surprises in stores in terms of the covid 19 scenario to ruin all plans,” the trade source shared.

Another Akshay Kumar film, Laxmmi Bomb is arriving on the OTT platform this Diwali on Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex.
