Richa Chadha plays politician in Subhash Kapoor's next Madam Chief Minister February 11, 2020 at 07:24PM

Ahead of Gulshan Kumar biopic Mogul starring Aamir Khan, director Subhash Kapoor had enough time to shoot another film headlined by Richa Chadha. Starring as a politician, the Richa Chadha film is titled Madam Chief Minister.

The Subhash Kapoor directorial was completed during start-to-finish 40-day schedule in Lucknow during the months of November till December. Since Kapoor was a political journalist, he incorporated his experience and anecdotes into the narrative.

Madam Chief Minister also features Manav Kaul and Saurabh Shukla. The film is scheduled for July 17, 2020 release.

Meanwhile, Subhash Kapoor has begun prep for Mogul.

Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani’s thriller drama ‘Malang’ is off the a decent start at the box office. After successfully passing the Monday test, the film managed to hold well on Tuesday too. According to a latest report on Boxofficeindia.com, ‘Malang’ collected Rs 3.75 crore nett on Tuesday. The film registered a drop of under 10%, which is still comfortably less than the 50% drop from the first day. With this addition, the total collection of ‘Malang’ stands at Rs 31.75 crore nett. The report further stated that if Wednesday shows a similar trend in box office collection then this Mohit Suri directorial can emerge as a surprise hit.

The producer said that the megastar could have easily given a NOC to get his portions dubbed by a Marathi artiste. But, the actor chose to do it himself. He further revealed that Big B has a stronghold on the language too and would ask the Director of Photography after every scene if everything was going fine. If the DOP would be hesitant and request him to do it one more time, the actor would oblige.

Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush to head to Bihar and Madurai for Atrangi Re February 11, 2020 at 05:14PM

Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is now coming up with a special film titled Atrangi Re which features Akshay Kumar with Sara Ali Khan and South star Dhanush. Aanand L Rai's collaborator Himanshu Sharma has penned the script. The director said that the story is a great mix of two Indian cultures. He revealed that they will begin shooting in Bihar before heading to Madurai.

Refuting the rumours about the cameo, Aanand L Rai revealed that Akshay, who gave the nod within 10 minutes of narration, doesn't have a cameo but a special role which is important to the narrative. They have a total of 80-90 days of shoot and Akshay will join the crew mid-April after Sara and Dhanush complete Bihar and Madurai schedules.

AR Rahman will compose music for the film. The director further said that since music is integral part of the film, he needed a strong-pillar like Rahman.

Atrangi Re is directed by Aanand L Rai, written by National Award Winner Himanshu Sharma, starring Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan with Akshay Kumar. Presented by T Series, Colour Yellow Productions & Cape Of Good Films, the film will hit the floors on 1st March 2020. The film is tentatively set for Valentine's Day 2021 release.
