BTS' V breaks Adele’s five-year solo artist record on iTunes with Itaewon Class OST 'Sweet Night' July 07, 2020 at 06:51PM
Another day, another record has been broken by BTS! The widely popular group has not only been working on their group's albums together, in the last couple of years, the members have also explored their solo music through the release of mixtapes, OSTs, and singles. The group's vocalist V ventured into crooning for a Korean drama OST for the second time after Hwarang’s ‘It’s Definitely You’ with his member Jin. This time, he worked on his first solo track ‘Sweet Night’ for one of the most popular Korean actor Park Seo Joon’s show, Itaewon Class. The series was not only one of the most popular dramas of 2020 but this OST went onto break several records.
On July 8, V’s 'Sweet Night' has surpassed English singer-songwriter Adele's five-year solo record of most No. 1's on iTunes. The song has topped 103rd on iTunes Top Songs chart. Back in October 2015, Adele released 'Hello' which topped in 102 regions.
In May 2020, V, real name Kim Taehyung, broke another record with the OST by surpassing the widely popular PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ record by attaining 88 No. 1s on iTunes worldwide. Back in 2012, PSY became the first Korean solo artist to ever top the iTunes chart. V surpassed the eight-year record with ‘Sweet Night’. He became the first Korean solo artist to have 88 No.1s on the iTunes chart.
Earlier this week, with the efforts of ARMYs, the five-year record of Adele was broken with the track 'Black Swan' from their fourth full-length album, 'Map Of The Soul: 7'. The song currently holds 104 No. 1's on iTunes.
The makers of Itaewon Class will release the Japanese version of their drama's OST including V's 'Sweet Night' on August 26.
The BTS members are currently working on their next album after the stupendous success of ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’. They are set to drop their Japanese album in July.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara has a Karan Johar connect July 07, 2020 at 06:00PM
The theatrical trailer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara released yesterday and as expected, it has created a record of sorts. A remake of the 2014 Hollywood tearjerker The Fault In Our Stars, this Mukesh Chhabra directorial amassed 4.3 million likes on YouTube in less than 24 hours, thus beating the feat held by Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame’s trailers. A lot of love has poured out for the actor after his untimely death on June 14 this year. That this would be his final film has made Dil Bechara all the more special.
Sadly, this social media discussion about the actor has also got quite toxic. A large section of netizens began blaming the ‘nepotistic nature’ of Bollywood for his death. Karan Johar, who unfortunately is seen as the poster boy of nepotism in Bollywood, was heavily slammed along with other star kids of Bollywood. The trolling is immense and continues even after three weeks of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise.
However, what many viewers are not aware of is that Dil Bechara has a Karan Johar connection as well. The dialogues of this film are written by Shashank Khaitan, who started his career as a writer with Karan’s Dharma Productions. He had no filmi connections and his first film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was greenlighted by KJo. Starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, it was one of the most loved films of 2014. His next flick, Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), also starring Varun and Alia, too worked big time. This was followed by Dhadak (2018), an official remake of the Marathi classic Sairat (2016) and also the launch pad of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. He was also one of the producers of the 2019 super-duper hit comedy Good Newwz and that of 2020 horror flick BHOOT: Part One – The Haunted Ship. He’s the only director among many directors launched by Dharma to have graduated to being a producer.
Incidentally, exactly two years ago, in the second week of July 2018, Dil Bechara was officially announced. It was then called Kizie Aur Manny. Rucha Pathak, Chief Creative Officer, Fox Star Studios, in a press statement at that time had said, “We’re especially happy that the script that we’ve been developing over the last few years is seeing the start of shoot and the title itself has come so organically from the Indian characters in the film. Kizie and Manny are characters from the imagination of Suprotim Sengupta who wrote the screenplay and Shashank Khaitan who gave them wonderful voices through his dialogues. Mukesh now is going to bring them to life”.
Dil Bechara will be released directly on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24. Moreover, it’ll be available for free viewing for non-subscribers as well.

Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Dil Bechara trailer surpasses Avengers Endgame; becomes the Most Liked Trailer in less than 24 hours July 06, 2020 at 07:41PM
Yesterday, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi starrer Dil Bechara’s trailer was released and needless to say, it went viral in no time. Dil Bechara marks the last film of Sushant Singh Rajput who recently passed away in an unfortunate turn of events. The 34-year-old actor was an underrated one and his fans have left no stone unturned to make sure that this film becomes one of his best. Making heads turn with the official Hindi remake of The Fault In Our Stars, Dil Bechara has already broken a record.
In less than 24 hours of its trailer release on YouTube, Dil Bechara has hit over 4.3 million likes, beating Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers Endgame that happen to be the highest grossing film of all times. Avengers: Infinity War had 3.2 million likes while Avengers Endgame had 2.9 million likes on YouTube. Clearly, the last release of Sushant Singh Rajput is proving to be the most memorable one.
Releasing on Disney+ Hotstar, to remember the late actor, makers have decided to make Dil Bechara available to the non-subscribers as well.

Ever since his untimely death, Mumbai Police has been investigating what led to the actor taking his own life. They have recorded over 29 people's statements. On July 6, Sanjay Leela Bhansali recorded his statement at Bandra Police Station.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali arrived at the Bandra Police station at 12:30 pm with a few of his lawyers and staff members. His statement was recorded for over three hours as Police had prepared a set of 20 questions for the filmmaker. Bhansali was summoned to Bandra police station that was led by ACP (Bandra Division) Dattatray Bhargude and Investigation Officer PI Bhushan Belnekar. He was later asked to visit Santacruz police station where he was asked around 35 to 40 questions by Zonal DCP Abhishek Trimukhe for close to one hour.

He revealed that at the time the actor was working with Yash Raj Films on Shekhar Kapur’s Paani and refused to work with him. So, Bhansali did not ask him again.
As per reports, Bhansali said that he first met Rajput in 2016 for discussing the projects. Since it didn’t pan out, he didn’t have any conversation with him later on. The filmmaker stated that he wasn’t close to the actor so he didn’t know about his depression either. With Bhansali’s statement, 30 statements have been recorded in Sushant’s death case.

Irrfan Khan’s Instagram profile gets memorialized after Sushant Singh Rajput July 06, 2020 at 07:37PM
This year has proved to be full of tragedies for Bollywood since we lost a lot of gems including Irrfan Khan among the others. The actor passed away a couple of months ago due to a colon infection just a few days after his mother departed for the heavenly abode. Along with Irrfan Khan, we also lost celebrities like Rishi Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Wajid Khan, and the latest being the ace choreographer, Saroj Khan. The industry is still mourning the loss of some of the best artists we lost this year.
Only recently, Sushant Singh Rajput’s Instagram profile was memorialized and now, the app has done the same for Irrfan Khan. When a profile gets memorialized, no more pictures can be added and no other changes can be made to the profile. It is a way of remembering the person for who they were. The tag of ‘Remembering’ is added to the deceased’s profile once it has been memorialized. Take a look at Irrfan Khan’s current profile.
The actor’s last release, Angrezi Medium became quite a hit and starred Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, and Kiku Sharda among the others.
