Amazon Prime Video announced its slate for the originals they have planned this year. One of them happens to be a political thriller tentatively titled Tandav, that's directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will be headlined by Saif Ali Khan. Now, we can tell you that Amyra Dastur too is part of the same series.
Confirming the same, Amyra shares, "Yes, I'm doing the political thriller which is Ali Abbas Zafar's next. It's a delicious script that got me completely hooked. Saif is one of the finest actors that we have today and the kind of work he's doing is putting us on a global map. Apart from Saif, the show has some amazing actors like Sunil Grover, Gauahar Khan and Zeeshan Ayyub in it. So it was a yes for me from the word go because the story is extremely fascinating." Although it was reported that the show has been titled Taandav or Dilli, a source tells us that the project remains untitled as of now.
How did the offer come about? Amyra reveals, "I got a call from Ali sir's team and I was quite intrigued by it. Then, I found out he's written it as well. It's all about politics where each of us have important roles to play. Right now, with whatever is happening around us, everyone's eyes are on this and the games that get played in the political world. My knowledge about politics has widened because of the show. I read the entire season because I'm not somebody who likes to just read my part. I loved the story because people are not going to just remember your characters but the show in totality."
She further adds, "It's a ten-episode series where all of us keep coming and going in several episodes. It's a dark, grey show which is every bit delicious."
This isn't the first time she's doing a web show. "I have done The Trip before this but the Amazon series will be my first major web show. Actually, I'm doing another one with Amazon this year," she says.

With the Coronavirus claiming the lives of hundreds of citizens in China, the disease has spread across several countries. The film titled Sitara stars Sobhita Dhulipala and was to begin shooting in Kerala. But due to the Coronavirus scare, they have delayed the schedule that was to roll on February 12. Director Vandana Kataria stated that they've been in and out of Kerala for the technical recee. Her art design crew was in the state from January 30 and returned on February 5. She said the safety of the team comes first. Vandana Kataria added that they have Plan B in place and planning to work that out.

Abhishek Bachchan starrer Bob Biswas lands in trouble for violating environmental norms in Kolkata February 06, 2020 at 05:41PM
Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, on January 24, announced that Bob Biswas had gone on floors in Kolkata. He shared a picture of a pair of glasses and a Motorola mobile phone that were used by Bob in Kahaani which released in 2012. The film has now landed in trouble for violating environmental norms.
As per reports, the makers of Bob Biswas allegedly continued shooting at Rabindra Sarobar in Kolkata without paying heed to the regulations laid by National Green Tribunal. The makers are facing backlash for cooking inside Sarobar and also using plastic which is banned by the tribunal. The objections have also been raised by Morning Walkers Association of Rabindra Sarobar. When they were questioned, the crew members said that Sujoy Ghosh, the producer, will answer their queries.
However, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) CEO Antara Acharya said the shooting unit of Bob Biswas had all the required permissions and that they have not violated any regulations laid down by the National Green Tribunal.
The movie, based on a fictional character from Kahaani (2012) - Bob Biswas, a poker-faced contract killer who instantly captured the imagination of people and is to date associated with his trademark line "Nomoshkar, Ek minute”. Abhishek Bachchan who takes on the mantle of essaying Bob Biswas in this spin-off film will be seen in a never seen before avatar, a role for which he had to undergo an extensive physical transformation.
Bob Biswas is being produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment along with Sujoy Ghosh's Bound Script Production. It is expected to release later this year. The film will be directed by debutant Diya Annapurna Ghosh. Her previous short film was chosen for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2018.

The humongous success of Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh has got south remakes back in the fashion in Bollywood as almost every Hindi film actor has a remake or two under their kitty at this point of time. Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that Ashwin Varde, who was one of the producers on Kabir Singh, has acquired the Hindi remake rights for Allu Arjun’s recently released Blockbuster, Ala Vaikunthapurramloo for a humongous sum of Rs 8 crore.
“A lot of producers from the industry were looking to remake Allu Arjun’s latest release, as the story stands a potential to be a Pan-India film. It is essentially a family entertainer with undertones of emotion and action, a genre loved by the heartland Hindi film audience,” revealed a source close to the development. Ashwin watched the film recently and reached out to the producers speaking about his plans to mount the film on an even bigger scale in Hindi and seeing the success of Kabir Singh, they entrusted the remake responsibility to the filmmaker.
The Telugu original directed by Trivikram Srinivas was received positively by the South Indian media particularly for Allu Arjun’s power packed performance blended with family centric emotions. The narrative revolves around Bantu (Allu Arjun), a skilled middle-class man who is despised and often neglected by his father Valmiki (Murali Sharma). What Bantu doesn't know is that he's actually the son of a businessman swapped by Valmiki with his own son to give the latter a comfortable life. A violent incident draws Bantu closer to the truth, upon learning which he decides to enter Vaikunthapuram, the home of his real parents and eventually confront those who threaten his family. Pooja Hegde plays the love interest of the lead.
“The remake will be made with a top A-List star cast and the process of rewriting the script to make it palatable for the Hindi speaking audience will begin in 15 to 20 days,” the source concluded. Who should step into Allu Arjun’s shoes? Let us know in the comments section below.

बॉलीवुड डेस्क. तापसी पन्नू का कहना है कि 'थप्पड़' की शूटिंग के दौरान को-एक्टर पवैल गुलाटी ने उन्हें 7 थप्पड़ मारे थे, तब कहीं जाकर परफेक्ट शॉट आ पाया। वे फिल्म के प्रमोशन के सिलसिले में एक न्यूज वेबसाइट से बात कर रही थीं। तापसी कहती हैं कि डर और चिंता के चलते पवैल खुद को उन्हें थप्पड़ मारने के लिए दो दिन तैयार कर पाए थे।
'शॉट के रीटेक्स की जरूरत थी'
बकौल तापसी, "सही शॉट पाने के लिए मुझे कई बार चांटा मारा गया। मोशन पिक्चर में यह सिर्फ एक बार है। हालांकि, पवैल इस बात से आशंकित थे कि हमने 7 टेक्स में शॉट पूरा किया। मुझे लगता है कि पूरी फिल्म में मैंने इतने रीटेक और कहीं नहीं लिए होंगे। यह स्पष्ट था कि इस शॉट के लिए मुझे कई रीटेक की जरूरत थी। चूंकि यह महत्वपूर्ण शॉट था, इसलिए इसे कमजोर नहीं कर सकते थे।"
अनुभव ने कहा था शॉट सटीक होना चाहिए
तापसी आगे कहती हैं, "अनुभव (सिन्हा) ने कहा था कि थप्पड़ वाला शॉट सटीक होना चाहिए, ताकि जब ऑडियंस इसे 60 एमएम के पर्दे पर देखे तो इम्पैक्टफुल लगे। हालांकि, पवैल उस वक्त घबरा गए थे और उन्होंने मुझे थप्पड़ मारने के लिए तैयार होने में दो दिन लगा दिए।"
पवैल चाहते थे तापसी उन्हें थप्पड़ मारें
तापसी के मुताबिक, रीटेक का मतलब यह नहीं कि पवैल ने उन्हें सामान्य रूप से 7 थप्पड़ मारे थे। वे कहती हैं, "सच कहूं तो पवैल ने मुझे सलाह दी थी कि मैं उन्हें थप्पड़ मारूं, ताकि वे शॉट के दौरान बुरा महसूस न करें। कभी वे मेरे गले पर मारते तो कभी कान पर। फिर मैंने उन्हें कहा कि कुछ मत सोचो, बस मुझे एक जोर का थप्पड़ मारो और शॉट पूरा करो।"
अपने किरदार को लेकर भी बोलीं तापसी
फिल्म में अपने किरदार को लेकर तापसी कहती हैं, "अमृता का किरदार मेरे लिए घुटन भरा रहा। लेकिन मैंने इसे चुनौती के रूप में लिया। 15 दिन के शूट के बाद मैं क्लॉस्टेरोफोबिक महसूस कर रही थी। मेरे लिए अपनी फायरब्रांड इमेज और माइंड स्पेस से बाहर निकलकर किरदार में घुसना बहुत मुश्किल हो रहा था।"
28 फरवरी को रिलीज होगी फिल्म
अनुभव शुक्ला के निर्देशन में बनी 'थप्पड़' में तापसी और पवैल के अलावा रत्ना पाठक, तन्वी आजमी, दीया मिर्जा, राम कपूर और कुमुद मिश्रा की भी अहम भूमिका है। यह फिल्म 28 फरवरी को सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज होगी।

'रोज डे' के मौके पर दिलीप कुमार के साथ अपने सबसे प्यारे से रिश्ते की कहानी बयां की उनकी पत्नी सायरा बानो ने... दैनिक भास्कर से खास बातचीत में उन्होंने बताया, 'हमारी कंट्री के युवा आजकल वेलेंटाइन डे और पूरा वीक सेलिब्रेट करते हैं। यहां पर तो ये कॉन्सेप्ट अभी पंद्रह-बीस साल पहले ही आया है, पर मैं तो चूंकि लंदन में ही पली-बढ़ी हूं, इसलिए हम तो इस कल्चर से पहले से ही बहुत ही ज्यादा परिचित थे। उस समय मैं वेलेंटाइन डे मनते हुए लंदन में देखती थी। बाद में जब दिलीप साहब मेरी जिंदगी में आए तो शादी के बाद हमने स्पेशली कभी कोई वैलेंटाइन डे नहीं मनाया, पर हर दिन को प्यार के जश्न के रूप में सेलिब्रेट किया है। दिलीप साहब के साथ हर रोज जिंदगी एक ईद की तरह लगती है। उनके साथ हर दिन स्पेशल बन जाता है तभी वह अपनी पोएट्री से रिलेट करते हैं कभी गानों से एंटरटेन करते हैं।'
'उन्होंने प्यार का इजहार हमेशा गुलाब के जरिए किया'
आज प्यार करने वाले जवां दिल रोज डे मना रहे हैं और लाल गुलाब से अपने प्यार का इजहार कर रहे हैं। एक बात बताऊं कि साहब और हमारे प्यार में इस लाल गुलाब की एक बहुत ही खास जगह है। वह हमेशा अपनी मोहब्बत जताने के लिए मुझे लाल गुलाब का फूल दिया करते थे। मेरी जिंदगी के खास मौकों पर तो वह मेरे लिए सबसे खास और बड़ा सा गुलाबों का बुके बनवा मुझे तोहफे में दिया करते थे। वह यूं तो मटेरियलिस्टिक नहीं हैं पर प्यार का इजहार तो गुलाब के जरिए ही किया करते थे। मेरी भतीजी शाहीन हमेशा उन्हें याद दिलाती थी कि चलो आज बुआ की जिंदगी का फलां लैंडमार्क डे है तो हम उनके पसंदीदा रोज रेड रोज लेकर आएंगे। उन्हें पता था कि रेड रोज मुझे काफी पसंद है तो वह उन्हें तोहफे में देते थे।'
'कायनात ने उन्हें मुझे तोहफे में सौंपा है'
'मेरा उनकी जिंदगी में आने का किस्सा तो सभी जानते हैं कि दिलीप साहब तो मुझे कायनात ने तोहफे में सौंपे हैं। मैं अपने स्कूल डेज से ही मिसेज दिलीप कुमार बनना चाहती थी। जब मैं छोटी थी और लंदन में स्टडी कर रही थी तबसे ही मेरा इस तरफ रुझान था कि मैं एक दिन मिसेज दिलीप कुमार बनूंगी। मेरी मदर ने मुझसे कहा था कि आपको मिसेज दिलीप कुमार बनने के लिए वैसे ही शौक पैदा करने चाहिए, जैसे दिलीप साहब फरमाते हैं। तो मैं ये सब सीखने लंदन से अपनी मां से पोएट्री के जरिए खतो-किताबत किया करती थी। जब मैं हिंदुस्तान आई तो मुझे पता चला कि दिलीप साहब को सितार का बेहद शौक है, तो फिर मैंने भी सितार सीखना शुरू कर दिया। चूंकि दिलीप साहब उर्दू में माहिर हैं तो मैंने भी उर्दू सीखना शुरू किया। मेरी मां ने मेरा करियर शुरू होने के बाद मेरा घर बनाने के बारे में सोचा तो उन्होंने वहीं जगह चुनी जहां से दिलीप साहब का घर पास हो। उनके घर के सामने ही मेरा घर बनवाया गया। यह उनके बंगले से केवल दो बंगले ही दूर था। वो कहते हैं न कि ‘तेरे दर के सामने एक घर बनाऊंगा’। उस दौरान मैं ‘मेरे प्यार मोहब्बत’ की शूटिंग कर रही थी। 23 अगस्त 1966 का दिन था जब मेरी सालगिरह भी आई और मेरी मदर ने उस घर की हाउस वार्मिंग पार्टी भी रखी। मैं फिल्मिस्तान स्टूडियो से शूटिंग करके घर आई तो वहां पार्टी में मेरे को-स्टार्स, डायरेक्टर का जमावड़ा लगा हुआ था। अचानक क्या देखती हूं कि दिलीप साहब खुद आए हैं। मेरे मां ने उन्हें खास इनवाइट किया था और इस ओकेजन के लिए वो मद्रास फ्लाइट लेकर सूट-बूट पहन कर, बड़े हैंडसम होकर मेरी पार्टी में आए थे। वह मेरे लिए मेरी जिंदगी का सबसे अच्छा गिफ्ट था।'
'उस रात को पहली बार नोटिस किया'
'उनका मुझे प्रपोज करने का भी रोचक किस्सा है। दिलीप साहब उस दौर में मेरे साथ काम नहीं करते थे, क्योंकि वे सोचते थे कि वे उम्र में मुझसे बहुत बड़े हैं और मैं उनके साथ बहुत छोटी लगूंगी। हम दोनों की फैमिली का बहुत ज्यादा मिलना-जुलना था तो दिलीप साहब इस बात को लेकर बहुत कॉन्शियस थे कि मैंने तो इस छोटी सी लड़की को बड़े होते देखा है तो मैं इसके साथ हीरो का काम कैसे करूंगा। राम और श्याम के लिए उनकी हीरोइन का ऑफर मेरे पास आया था पर दिलीप साहब ने इसी संकोच की वजह से उस रोल भी रिफ्यूज कर दिया था। तो ऊपर जिस पार्टी का मैंने उल्लेख किया तो उसमें मुझे देखकर उनका ख्याल बदल गया। उस पार्टी में मैं काफी अच्छे से तैयार हुई थी। मैंने बाल वगैरह बनाए हुए थे, साड़ी पहनी थी तो अपनी उम्र से काफी बड़ी लग रही थी। उन्होंने मुझे गौर से देखकर मुझसे हाथ मिलाया और बोले कि तुम तो पूरी तरह से एक लवली वुमन में तब्दील हो चुकी हो। उस रात को फर्स्ट टाइम उन्होंने मुझे नोटिस किया। उसके दूसरे दिन उनका फोन आया, कि कल का डिनर बहुत अच्छा था और उसके लिए शुक्रिया। बस वहीं से हमारे मिलने का सिलसिला शुरू हुआ।'
'आठ दिन तक चला था हमारा रोमांस'
