They haven’t really worked together since My Name Is Khan in 2010, although Shah Rukh Khan did make a guest appearance in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil three years ago. But that apart, the two once-inseparable friends (Karan Johar had once told me he can’t dream of making a film without SRK) stayed away from one another, even during the last season of Karan’s Koffee With Karan.

That’s about to change. If sources close to the development are to be believed, Karan Johar is planning a full-fledged film with Shah Rukh Khan again. “Something different and yet very very mainstream. Because SRK is not in an experimental mood after what happened to his last film Zero. Karan Johar is looking at directing Shah Rukh in a blockbuster,” says the source.

Apparently the film that Karan Johar would direct would bring Shah Rukh together with Ranbir Kapoor. We can only wait for further announcements.

Namit Das to debut as music composer with Mira Nair's show, A Suitable Boy January 16, 2020 at 08:28PM

Namit Das has starred in films like Wake Up Sid, Pataakha, Sui Dhaaga, and many others. The actor is not only popular in cinema, but on platforms like television, webspace, and theatre. He is also an aspiring filmmaker. And apart from these talents, there is one more skill that Namit has kept hidden from the world which is his love for making music. Namit’s father, Chandan Dass is a noted musician, and the actor has inherited this talent. Now, he is all set to showcase his skills to the world.

Namit will be seen in filmmaker Mira Nair’s show, A Suitable Boy. For this, he has composed not one but three songs. These tracks, which go with the familial theme, will be used in the show at pivotal points. The artist has always been drawn to music and also works on making his own independent music with his bandmate Anurag Shanker. The duo is making independent music for five years now.

Talking about the significance of music in his life, Namit says, “When I was growing up, music would always be a part of all the activities we did as a family. My father is a singer and I too have trained in classical singing. I love acting but it gets time-consuming to jump from one character to another at times. I do make time for my band with Anurag Shanker but this is a different dimension of making music which I am really excited about. Now, with A Suitable Boy, I not only get to act but also explore a dream of mine to create music. The theme of the show is so unique that it was a challenge and I had a ball doing it.”

Shailendra Singh joins hands with Reliance Entertainment to produce two biopics January 16, 2020 at 08:13PM

Producer Shailendra Singh is starting the year off with a bang. In the pipeline are two powerful biopics that he is set to produce in collaboration with Reliance Entertainment this year- one titled M.S. Bitta: Hit-List which is jointly produced with Priya Gupta, the other is the inspirational life story of Kings United - the dance troupe, which recently won USD 1 million on the American reality show World Of Dance.

The biopic on M.S Bitta will celebrate the valour, courage, and strength of the man who survived multiple assassination bids in the mid-1990s, and now heads the All India Anti-Terrorist Front. The venerable M.S Bitta says, “I have dedicated my whole life to fighting terrorism for my India. I don’t fear any bomb in the world. I only fear ‘Political Terrorism.’ I am very honoured that Shailendra Singh, Priya Gupta, and Reliance Entertainment have united to share my story with the world.”

Singh's second film made news when he first acquired the rights of Kings United's life story. The working title for the film is The Kings and will be about the twenty young strugglers and their journey from gully to glory, from Nallasoapra to Los Angeles. Suresh Mukund, Founder of Kings United, says, “Our journey has been full of trials and tribulations, victory and glory. But we had a dream, and they only thing we knew to do, was to keep chasing that dream. We believe that Shailendra Singh truly understands our story and can translate it in to film. Now that Reliance Entertainment has come on board, we are even more excited to embark upon this new journey with them."

Shailendra Singh says, “I am inspired to make biopics and films on the true events that celebrate India, build Brand India and inspire young India – the youngest population on the planet. The biopics on the life of MS Bitta and Kings United are just the sparks that I have been waiting for with which to light a new fire in Bollywood. Building on my legacy of seventy-odd movies as a creative producer, making films for young India is my new innings in film making.”

Filmmaker Kabir Khan is gearing up for the grand launch of the poster of his upcoming ambitious film, '83, starring Ranveer Singh as former Indian Captain Kapil Dev. The film stars an ensemble cast and the actors are set to launch the first group poster of the film in Hyderabad.

The 1983 cricketers will also join the '83 squad in Hyderabad. Since the film is trilingual, the makers thought it would be a good idea to have a launch event in Hyderabad to get the South audience interested as well.

Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Sunil Gavaskar, Mohinder Amarnath, Balwinder Sandhu, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Syed Kirmani, Sandeep Patil, Dilip Vengsarkar, Ravi Shastri, Kirti Azad, Yashpal Sharma, Roger Binny, Sunil Valson, Farokh Engineer and the team's manager, PR Man Singh will be attending the Hyderabad launch.

As far as the actors are concerned, Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Boman Irani, Pankaj Tripathi among others will attend the launch. Deepika Padukone, who is playing Romi Bhatia and is also one of the producers, is expected to attend the event.

'83, helmed by Kabir Khan, is releasing on April 10, 2020.

Varun Dhawan plays a Marathi man in Shashank Khaitan's Mr. Lele January 16, 2020 at 05:49PM

Right after Street Dancer 3D release, Varun Dhawan will be gearing up for Coolie No 1 which is set for May 1 release. The actor is returning to comedy after Judwaa 2. He has another project in the making titled Mr. Lele which is a comedy thriller.

Varun Dhawan will be playing Marathi man in Shashank Khaitan's film. The actor along with Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar will begin workshops soon. Varun will work to get the accent right for his role. The cast will also have individual script reading sessions and a group one to help them get their character's in sync. The film will go on floor in March.

This is Varun Dhawan's third outing with Shashank Khaitan after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. They were supposed to start Rannbhoomi but the period drama has been put on hold.

Mr. Lele, produced by Dharma Productions, is set for January 1, 2021.

जस्सी गिल ने दिया ऑफर:इस मौके पर सनी हिंदुस्तानी ने 'मंजिलें अपनी जगह है, रास्ते अपनी जगह' गाने पर परफॉर्मेंस देकर सेट पर सभी को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। उनकी परफॉर्मेंस के बाद जस्सी गिल उनसे इतना प्रभावित हुए कि उन्होंने यहां तक कह दिया कि यह शो खत्म होने के बाद वो सनी के साथ एक पंजाबी गाना करना चाहेंगे। इस मौके पर निर्देशक अश्विनी ने यह भी बताया कि पंगा का गाना सनी से सिंगिंगका आइडिया शंकर का था। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि 'पंगा' के एल्बम का यह गाना उनके फेवरेट गानों में से एक है। इस मौके पर इंडियन आइडल के दर्शकों के लिए अश्विनी ने सनी से 'जुगनू' गाने की कुछ लाइनें भी गाने को कहा।

बॉलीवुड डेस्क. 19 जनवरी को कश्मीरी पंडितों के पलायन के 30 साल पूरे हो रहे हैं। इसी तारीख को तब करीब चार लाख कश्मीरी पंडित बेघर कर दिए गए थे। उस प्लॉट पर विधु विनोद चोपड़ा ‘शिकारा’ ला रहे हैं। फिल्म में उन्होंने 4000 कश्मीरी पंडितों से एक्टिंग भी करवाई है।

फिल्म तो सात फरवरी को रिलीज होगी, पर उससे पहले फिल्म की सबसे पहली और स्पेशल स्क्रीनिंग कश्मीरी पंडितों के लिए आयोजित की जा रही है।स्पेशल स्क्रीनिंग 19 जनवरी को आयोजित होगी। गौरतलब है कि यह फिल्म वास्तविक घटनाओं पर आधारित है और इसमें पलायन से रियल फुटेज को शामिल किया गया है। कश्मीर के कलाकारों के साथ विधु विनोद चोपड़ा ने इसे फिल्माया है।

7 जनवरी को रिलीज हुए फिल्म के ट्रेलर को अब तक यूट्यूब पर 3 करोड़ से ज्यादा लोगों ने देखा है। इसकी तारीफ परेश रावल, शूजित सरकार जैसे दिग्गज कर चुके हैं। शूजित ने कहा कि, यह फिल्म सीधा डायरेक्टर के दिल से निकलती है। वहीं, परेश रावल ने इसे हर भारतीय के लिए देखना जरूरी बताया। उन्होंने फिल्म बनाने के लिए विधु विनोद चोपड़ा का शुक्रिया किया।
