Arjun Kapoor’s virtual date will feed 300 families of daily wage earners for a month April 15, 2020 at 07:13PM

Arjun Kapoor has been trying his best to help as many people in need as possible. Over the weekend, he went on a virtual date with 5 lucky winners to raise funds for daily wage earners of India who are currently earning no income at all due to the lockdown. He did this exercise through his sister Anshula Kapoor’s breakthrough online fundraising platform, Fankind, and raised enough funds to feed the families of 300 daily wage earners for a month!

Arjun confirms, “Coronavirus has thrown us all into unchartered territory. I’m grateful to all my fans that my 30-minute virtual date with five lucky winners for Anshula’s Fankind has raised enough funds to feed many families. Along with the funds raised during the chat, I have also extended some additional support to GiveIndia and this collective fund will support the families of these daily wage earners for a month. I felt happy to raise their morale and connect with people outside my circle & instill hope and faith within them. We must do our best in whatever way we can to help everyone triumph over this.”

The actor has also already extended his support to the PM-CARES Fund, Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, The Wishing Factory and Bollywood’s Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

'खट्टा मीठा' (1978), 'खूबसूरत'(1980) और 'कांटे' (2002) जैसी फिल्मों के अभिनेता रणजीत चौधरी का निधन हो गया है। वे 64 साल के थे। बुधवार (15 अप्रैल) को उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली। इस बात की जानकारी रणजीत की बहन रैल पद्मसी ने दी। उन्होंने मंगलवार देर रात सोशल मीडिया पर एक फोटो शेयर करते हुए लिखा, "उन लोगों के लिए, जो रणजीत चौधरी को जानते हैं, उनका अंतिम संस्कार कल (गुरुवार, 16 अप्रैल) किया जाएगा। 5 मई को उनकी प्रार्थना सभा होगी और उनसे जुड़ी चीजों को याद किया जाएगा।" रणजीत थिएटर पर्सनैलिटी पर्ल पद्मसी के बेटे थे और रैल उनकी सौतेली बहन हैं।

बॉलीवुड सेलेब्स ने जताया शोक
रणजीत चौधरी के निधन पर कई बॉलीवुड सेलेब्स ने शोक जताया है। अभिनेत्री सोनी राजदान ने चौधरी की बहन रैल को मेंशन करते हुए लिखा है, "हे भगवान। मुझे यकीन नहीं होता। खेद है रैल। दिली संवेदनाएं।"

फिल्म निर्देशक राहुल ढोलकिया ने रणजीत को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए लिखा है, "रणजीत चौधरी के बारे में सुनकर बहुत दुख हुआ। उनकी फिल्मों का बहुत बड़ा फैन था। बेहतरीन कॉमिक टाइमिंग और अच्छे अभिनेता। खट्टा मीठा, खूबसूरत, लोनली इन अमेरिका, सैम एंड मी। वे 1993 में हमारे शो नया अंदाज के पहले जज भी थे।" भगवान आत्मा को शांति दे।"

अभिनेता राहुल खन्ना ने लिखा है, "रणजीत चौधरी के निधन के बारे में सुनकर निराश हूं। अपने छोटे से फ्रेम के बावजूद वे भारतीय प्रवासी सिनेमा और अपनी कला के शिल्पी थे। मैं जिनको जानता हूं, उनमें से अब तक के सबसे प्रिय और विलक्षण रूप से मजाकिया स्वभाव के इंसान थे।"

'सैम एंड मी' का स्क्रीन प्ले भी लिखा था
रणजीत चौधरी का जन्म 19 सितंबर 1955 को हुआ था। उन्होंने फिल्मों के साथ टीवी और थिएटर्स के लिए भी काम किया था। 'खट्टा मीठा' (1978) उनकी पहली बॉलीवुड फिल्म थी। 'खट्टा मीठा' के साथ 'खूबसूरत' जैसी फिल्मों के लिए उन्हें खूब सराहना मिली थी। रणजीत लेखक भी थे और उन्होंने 'सैम एंड मी' का स्क्रीन प्ले लिखा था। वे इसमें एक्टिंग करते भी नजर आए थे।

Amidst the pandemic situation, associations governing the film and television industry in India issued a directive putting all sorts of shooting on hold. This has created a situation of channels to re-run popular shows to keep the masses entertained. Salman Khan’s popular reality show Bigg Boss 13 was re-aired amid the nationwide lockdown. But, it failed to grab people’s attention.

The channel brought back Balika Vadhu and Belan Wali Bahu along with Bigg Boss 13. Owing to high TRP's and Salman's humongous fan following, the channel has decided to re-run the show. Bigg Boss has been the most successful reality show on TV and Salman's hosting, his banter with the contestants and his lively persona on-screen has boosted the progress of the show. The re-runs started airing on March 13 and was abruptly pulled off on April 14 as it failed to keep the masses entertained the second time. They have replaced the show with Dance Deewane season 1.

Bigg Boss 13 was won by TV actor Siddharth Shukla. The show starred Asim Riaz, Shehnaaz Gill, Rashami Desai, Himanshi Khurana, Paras Chhabra among others.

दरअसल मंशा ने एक ट्वीट में कहा था- कंगना उस महिला का शानदार उदाहरण हैं, जिसने शुरुआत तो विशेषाधिकारों और भाईभतीजावाद के खिलाफ आवाज के तौर पर की। फिर उन्होंने ध्यान खींचने के लिए प्रगतिशील मूल्यों की बात की। और, फिर वे ऐसी सरकार का समर्थन करने लगीं जो हर असहमति और अपनी नीतियों के खिलाफ उठने वाली हर आवाज को दबा रही है।
