Kangana Ranaut, who's next release Panga hit the theatres today, is set to play an Air Force pilot in Ronnie Screwvala's production, Tejas. Director Sarvesh Mewara will helm the film.

Kangana Ranaut said that she has always wanted to play a soldier and was fascinated by Armed forces since childhood. She said that she has never held back on how she feels about the soldiers and has often spoken about their heroism. She said they keep the people and this country safe. Kangana added that she is happy to be doing this film.

Kangana will undergo extensive training before the shoot starts in July. She revealed the director has decided to bring professionals on board for the training.

Keen to get on the battlefield, Kangana Ranaut said that she closely followed Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman's story from the time he was captured to his release and return home. She said that he is a hero in true form in the way he handled the situation.

Kangana further said that she is delighted that Ronnie Screwvala and Sarvesh Mewara came to her with this project that celebrates the heroism of the soldiers. She said that being in uniform would be the biggest highlight of her life.
